Liam Rosenior is back in management just two months after leaving Chelsea. The English coach has been officially appointed as the new head coach of Paris FC, signing a contract that will keep him at the Ligue 1 club until the summer of 2028.

Quick Return to the Dugout

Rosenior's spell at Chelsea proved to be a short-lived one.

The 41-year-old left Stamford Bridge in April after less than five months in charge, with the club later turning to Xabi Alonso as part of its long-term rebuild. Despite the disappointing ending in London, Rosenior remained a highly regarded figure on the coaching market and received interest from several clubs before choosing his next destination.

Rather than waiting for another opportunity in England, he has opted for a fresh challenge in France.

Paris FC Betting on a Young Coach

Paris FC believe Rosenior is the right man to lead the club into its next chapter.

Sporting director Marco Neppe praised the appointment, highlighting the Englishman's tactical approach, leadership qualities and reputation for improving players. Club officials were reportedly impressed by his ability to build a clear footballing identity while maintaining strong relationships within the dressing room.

Those qualities ultimately made him their preferred candidate.

A New Era Begins in Paris

Rosenior replaces Antoine Kombouaré, whose departure was confirmed following the end of last season.

Paris FC finished 11th in Ligue 1, a respectable campaign but one that fell short of the club's growing ambitions. The board now expects significant progress, with qualification for European competition becoming the primary objective for the upcoming season.

For Rosenior, the move offers an immediate chance to rebuild his reputation after a difficult spell at Chelsea and prove he can deliver sustained success at the highest level.
