Arsenal could soon lose one of their most reliable squad players. The club have accepted Besiktas’ proposal for Leandro Trossard, with the Turkish side now preparing to negotiate personal terms with the Belgian international.
Arsenal agree fee with Besiktas
Leandro Trossard may be heading towards the end of his Arsenal spell. According to Ben Jacobs and Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners have accepted an offer from Besiktas for the 31-year-old winger.
The Turkish club’s proposal is worth €18 million guaranteed, with a further €2 million available through add-ons. That means the full package could reach €20 million.
For Arsenal, this would represent a significant sale given Trossard’s age and squad status. He has not always been a guaranteed starter under Mikel Arteta, but he has remained one of the manager’s most dependable rotational players.
Trossard still has to make his decision
The transfer is not complete yet. Besiktas must still reach an agreement with Trossard over personal terms, and that part of the process may take time.
The Belgian is currently focused on the World Cup, where Belgium are preparing for a round-of-16 match against the United States. His final decision is expected after the tournament.

Trossard joined Arsenal from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023 at Arteta’s request. Since then, he has often acted as the first attacking substitute, giving the team flexibility across the front line and regular end product.
Last season, he played 50 matches, scoring eight goals and providing 11 assists. Those numbers show why Arsenal may feel his departure on the pitch, even if the financial logic of the deal is clear.
If the move goes through, Besiktas will gain an experienced, technically sharp forward with Premier League pedigree. Arsenal, meanwhile, will lose a proven squad weapon and may have to replace his versatility before the new season begins.
