Al-Nassr have officially appointed Ange Postecoglou as their new head coach. The Australian manager takes over a squad packed with major names, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Joao Felix, Kingsley Coman and Sadio Mane.
Postecoglou takes charge of Al-Nassr
Al-Nassr have confirmed Ange Postecoglou as their new manager. The 60-year-old has signed a two-year contract running until 30 June 2028, replacing Jorge Jesus in the role.
For Postecoglou, this is another major step in a wide-ranging coaching career. He has previously worked at Brisbane Roar, Melbourne Victory, the Australian national team, Yokohama F. Marinos, Celtic, Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest.
His strongest period came at Celtic, where he won two Scottish league titles and a domestic cup. He also led Tottenham to Europa League success. His most recent club spell, however, was short and difficult: at Nottingham Forest, he managed only eight matches, drawing twice and losing six times.

A demanding project full of stars
Postecoglou now inherits one of the most recognisable squads in Saudi football. Cristiano Ronaldo remains the biggest name in the team, while Al-Nassr also have Joao Felix, Kingsley Coman, Sadio Mane and Inigo Martinez.
The expectations will be immediate. Al-Nassr are 11-time Saudi champions and won the latest Saudi Pro League title under Jorge Jesus, finishing ahead of Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli. They also reached the AFC Champions League Two final, where they lost to Gamba Osaka.
The appointment shows that Al-Nassr are not lowering their ambitions. Postecoglou is taking over a squad built to win now, not develop slowly. His task is clear: keep the club on top domestically and deliver stronger results in Asian competition.
