AC Milan are preparing one of the biggest moves of the summer window. The Serie A side have reached a full agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for Gonçalo Ramos, who is now close to opening a new chapter in Italy.
Milan agree deal with PSG for Ramos
Gonçalo Ramos is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain and join AC Milan. According to James Horncastle of “The Athletic”, the clubs have reached a full agreement over the Portuguese striker’s transfer.
The exact fee has not been officially revealed, but it is expected to exceed Milan’s current transfer record. That mark belongs to Rafael Leao, who joined the Rossoneri from Lille for €49.5 million.
The Ramos deal would also become the most expensive Serie A incoming transfer since 2019, when Inter Milan signed Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United for €74 million.

Amorim played a key role in the operation
Ramos is leaving PSG after 131 appearances and two Champions League trophies. Despite that success, he is now looking for a more central role, and Milan can offer him exactly that.
The move has been pushed strongly by Ruben Amorim. The new Milan coach knows Ramos well and identified him from the beginning as the main solution for the striker position.
The player’s own position also helped the deal progress quickly. Ramos was eager to work with Amorim again, which made personal talks easier and strengthened Milan’s hand during negotiations.
Another important factor was the relationship between Milan owner Gerry Cardinale and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. Their good connection helped speed up the process between the clubs.
For Milan, this is not only a high-profile transfer but a clear sporting statement. The club are investing heavily in a striker expected to lead the attack immediately and become one of the central figures of Amorim’s project at San Siro.
