Paris Saint-Germain are working on another significant domestic transfer. The French champions have already reached an agreement with Maghnes Akliouche over personal terms, while negotiations with AS Monaco are moving in a positive direction.

PSG accelerate Akliouche pursuit

Paris Saint-Germain are getting closer to signing Maghnes Akliouche from AS Monaco. According to Nicolò Schira, the player has accepted PSG’s contract proposal, which would keep him at the club until 2031.

The 24-year-old has been monitored by PSG for a long time, but their interest has now moved into a more advanced phase. Luis Enrique is believed to have played an important role in convincing the player, as he sees Akliouche as a strong fit for PSG’s technical and attack-minded style.

Akliouche himself is also open to the move. That gives PSG a strong position before the final stage of club-to-club negotiations.

Monaco face losing a key creative player

A full agreement between PSG and Monaco is still required, but talks are reportedly progressing well. The financial demands should not be a major obstacle for the Parisian club.

Akliouche is coming off a productive season. He played 43 matches, scoring seven goals and providing 11 assists. In total, he has made 139 appearances for Monaco, with 23 goals and 28 assists.

The timing of the transfer may depend on the World Cup. Akliouche is currently with the France squad, who won their group and are preparing for a knockout match against Sweden.

For PSG, this would be another move aimed at strengthening the attack with a player already proven in Ligue 1. For Monaco, it would mean losing one of their most influential and creative footballers.
